What is the Welcome Fair?
LUU’s Welcome Fair is a chance for you to meet all of the fantastic clubs and societies we have here at LUU, and grab a few freebies from local businesses on your way around too.
When is the Welcome Fair?
The Welcome Fair takes place from Monday 25 to Wednesday 27 September. There are various societies and brands attending on different days so don’t forget to come back each day as you never know what you might find!
Which clubs and societies are around on which days?
Generally, you’ll find the following clubs and societies on these days:
- Monday 25 September: Dance societies, Media societies, Culture societies, Music & Performance societies, Political & Campaigning societies
- Tuesday 26 September: Academic societies, Faith societies, Sports societies, Martial societies, Outdoor societies
- Wednesday 27 September: General Interest societies, Welfare societies, Volunteering societies, Sports societies, Martial Arts societies, Outdoor societies, Dance societies
What is a 'Give It A Go'?
Give It A Go is an event held by clubs and societies where you can try out their activity without any commitment. It is a great opportunity to discover a new hobby and meet new friends!
How do I join a club or society?
You can purchase your membership on Engage. This is the only way to join a group. We recommend chatting to the stall holders to learn about joining – they might have a free Give It A Go session you can attend to try the club or society out first.
How do I get to The Edge?
The Edge is a short distance away from Leeds University Union (LUU).
